Gulliver’s Valley will host a series of special events as part of a programme of supersized celebrations for the Platinum Jubilee.
The Rother Valley theme park resort will celebrate the Jubilee, which marks Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on the throne, by providing fun-filled family adventures with a royal twist.
From Saturday, May 14 to Sunday, June 5, there will be even more thrills than usual at Gulliver’s, including street parties, best of British stage shows and majestic entertainment hosted by Gulliver’s own Queen Bee.
The celebrations launch on the weekend of May 14 and 15, when Gulliver’s Valley will be open for an extra hour, until 6pm. As the evenings get longer, families will be able to enjoy the rides and attractions for a bonus hour.
The following weekend Gulliver’s and guests will Bee Kind. Coinciding with World Bee Day on May 20, the weekend will have a real buzz with some brilliant bee-themed adventures. From every ticket sold, £1 will be donated to bee conservation projects across the UK.
Finally, from May 27 until June 5, Gulliver’s Valley will host Jubilee Celebration Week. As well as the thrilling rides and attractions, there will be best of British-style street parties, special shows and royal activities to make the most of the four-day bank holiday weekend beginning Thursday, June 2.
Andy Flowers, resort manager at Gulliver’s Valley, said: “We’re thrilled to unveil our supersized celebrations for the Platinum Jubilee.
“We’ve designed a fun-filled programme to suit the whole family and can’t wait to welcome as many guests as possible to celebrate in style. It’s such a major event for our country we wanted to make sure we marked it appropriately and with as much fun as possible!”
