Visitors to Gulliver’s Valley are set for a Chuckle this July

Visitors to Gulliver’s Valley theme park are set for a real chuckle this July as local legend, Paul Elliott, one half of the iconic Chuckle Brother’s, returns to help celebrate the resorts’ 2nd anniversary.

Paul, who opened Chuckle Street at the popular family attraction in 2021, is set to make a welcome return to Rotherham to meet fans at Gulliver’s Valley on Tuesday 26 July from 11.30am-12.30pm.

In an anniversary gesture from the management team at Gulliver’s Valley £1 from all tickets sold for July 26 will go to Paul’s chosen charity, Marie Curie.

Paul said: “I’m looking forward to going back to Gulliver’s Valley and seeing Chuckle Street again. It is a great celebration of mine and Barry’s journey through our Chuckle careers.

“The photos bring back some great memories and it is fantastic to know that there is a place in Rotherham that celebrates that history.”

The indoor area tells the story of how the brothers, best-known for starring in long-running BBC children’s TV programme ChuckleVision and their support of Rotherham United FC,

became one of the country’s most-loved double acts.

Paul, who has just been named in the line up for the latest series of Celebrity Masterchef.  added: “It will be great to meet families on the day who are enjoying a day out at this amazing theme park that is right on their doorstep in my hometown of Rotherham.”

Gulliver’s Valley celebrated its 2nd anniversary earlier this month and has quickly become a popular addition to the family leisure scene in South Yorkshire. It is the fourth and newest

Gulliver’s Theme Park Resort in the UK, joining Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath, Gulliver’s Land in Milton Keynes and Gulliver’s World in Warrington.

Julie Dalton, managing director at the family run Gulliver’s Theme Parks and Resorts said:

“We are proud to welcome Paul back to Gulliver’s Valley as we celebrate our second anniversary.

“He is a Rotherham legend and our family audience love to see him at the park. We hope that lots of people will come along on the day and help us to continue to celebrate our anniversary.”
